Trying to Dodge A Tainted Vote.

Who would have thought one man could cause so much laughter in our Parliament.
That man of course being none other then, Craig Thomson.

Yesterday we witnessed Tony Abbott, Christopher Pyne and  Warren Entsch making a dash for the Chamber doors.

While Tony Abbott was sitting down comfortably with his group along came Christopher Pyne.
C.Pyne had just noticed Mr Thomson taking his position on the Coalition Benches to vote with them to deny a gagging order which Mr Anthony Albanese had moved.

As soon as Tony Abbott was notified by C.Pyne, he leaped to his feet, which at this time C.Pyne had started to make a dash for the Chamber doors.
While Tony Abbott jumped over one colleague, Warren Entsch decided to run for the doors as well, blocking Tony Abbott's way. At this time Tony Abbott not thinking straight in desperation to get to the Chamber doors, pushed poor Warren Entsch out of the way sending him flying in to the Chamber doors.

Have you built a mental image yet? :) It's ok if you haven't, Video will be supplied :)

As it was reported, Christopher Pyne had managed to escape.

Guess who didn't? Yes that's right, Tony Abbott :)

Tony Abbott in desperation to get to the doors before they closed couldn't manage the stamina to escape in time.
Anne Burke noticing what was happening called him back.
Tony Abbott was forced to sit down and have his vote counted.

Late it was reported C.Pyne telling one colleague, he ran like a Giselle. One might choose to describe his actions in other terms, but we'll let him believe he was a Giselle.

Questions were flying from reporters when Tony Abbott gave a Press Conference.

Reporters were asking him what had happened and how he couldn't manage to get out in time.
Tony Abbott trying to dodge the questions wouldn't give a straight answer but we all know he didn't make it out.
Tony Abbott couldn't bring himself to say, yes, I didn't get out in time. Instead making excuses.

Tony Abbott described Mr Thomson's actions as a STUNT (Pot, Kettle), blaming the Gillard Government of concocting the whole idea with Mr Thomson.

Mr Thomson later said, it was not a stunt and it was not planned. Government was not involved.

Tony Abbott also said, Journalist were warned before-hand that Mr Thomson was going to pull the stunt. As of yet no Journo has come forward to back-up Tony Abbott's claims.
We can put it down to, it was not true that Journos' were told, until other-wise.

For a man who is suppose to be an Iron man and fitter than most, it was unusual that some-one like C.Pyne described by many as a Poodle, managed to beat Tony Abbott to the finish line.

And that is the spectacle of our Parliament. Grown man acting as if they are back at school.

Here is the video - Judge for yourselves.
